I know many of you are anxious to know that Dana's heart surgery went very well this week, and we are told she had the best outcome possible. Thank you for your prayers, and we wish her a speedy recovery during her 6 week medical leave. We are still collecting 8" Heart Blocks in Purple and Green this week for a Healing Quilt, but the quilt construction will begin shortly. Many thanks to those of you who sent very special heart blocks for Dana.
July 19 I am departing for South Africa with Carolyn Mazloomi's tour group. Yes, I still have room in my large 2nd suitcase for donated lap quilts for the kids in need there, but they need to arrive by Thursday at the latest!
If you are coming to the quilt convention in Johannesburg, please do come to my presentation on Thursday at 11 am - "International Quilt Trends". Be sure to come and say hello there or on the show floor - I would really love to meet our South African friends and customers while visiting there!
This Wednesday night is the award ceremony for Quilt Colorado, put on by our state guild Colorado Quilting Council. (CQC) I'll be giving the top award at the end of the evening - perhaps it will be to one of our eQuilter customers?
My new studio floor is being finished this weekend, and we are moving everything down Monday. Yes it is a crazy week!
My plan is to open up my studio to some events such as workshops, retreats, online classes, etc. Keep an eye on my newsletters because I'll be asking for your input on what you'd like to see in this space. There is a new hotel that opened up one block away from eQuilter, so there are many possibilities to consider for the future. Very exciting!
Summertime in Boulder is very beautiful, with the red Flatirons, the green foothills, and the white glaciers visible on the high distant peaks of the Continental Divide. We feel so lucky to live in such an inspiring part of the country.
We do arrange group tours of eQuilter on Friday afternoons, so if you have a group that would like to visit eQuilter, let us know.
