Well, I like the octopus and think it looks like a modern quilt just fine... and guess what it does not really fit the modern elements as the modern peeps write of themselves. Well, so what you say.... what I am saying is all this defining of modern quilts is a bit of of posturing.... solid fabrics, white and gray are not the only thing needed for modern quilts. As others have said... time will tell what we are really seeing.

WOW!! I've just watched the video of the Tentmakers of Cairo. Not only are they absolutely amazing but it also highlights that in many cultures men are the artistic ones. And it's men who keep traditions going. Thank you for showing these works of art.
